This privacy policy is for kewdev.co.uk and explains when and why we collect personal information, how we use it, the conditions under which we may disclose it to others and what choices you have. Who we are

Kate England Web Development will be what’s known as the ‘Controller’ of the personal data you provide to us.

What data do we collect?

If you are a client, we only collect basic personal data about you which does not include any special types of information or location based information. This does however include name, address, email and phone number.

If you are just browsing the website, we use Google Analytics to collect data about how you use the site in order to improve the user experience, this includes location based data. This data is stored against an anonymised IP address and cannot be used to personally identify you and is deleted after a period of 26 months.

Why we need your data

If you are a client, we need to know your basic personal data in order to provide you with on-going support and invoicing for any services you currently hold with us. We will not collect any personal data from you we do not need in order to provide and oversee any services to you.

What we do with your data

All the personal data we process is processed by us in the UK however for the purposes of hosting and maintenance this information is located on servers within the European Union. No 3rd parties have access to your personal data unless the law allows them to do so. You can read more about this in the below ‘Third Parties’ section.

How long we keep your data

If you are a client, we are required under UK tax law to keep your basic personal data (name, address, contact details) for a minimum of 6 years after which time it will be destroyed. We do not retain any information for marketing purposes.

If you are just browsing the site, all data will be deleted automatically after 26 months.

What are your rights

If at any point you believe the information we process on you is incorrect you can request to see this information and have it corrected or deleted. If you wish to raise a complaint on how we have handled your personal data, you can contact us to have the matter investigated. hello@kewdev.co.uk

A number of third parties will be provided access to data in order for us to provide services to you. These services are:

Google Analytics

As cited above, we use Google Analytics to collect data about how you use the site in order to improve the user experience, this includes location based data. This data is stored against an anonymised IP address and cannot be used to personally identify you and is deleted after a period of 26 months. Additionally we have agreed to Google Inc.’s Data Processing Amendment terms.

Google Inc. may use the data collected to prepare reports on its activities and share them with other Google services as well as to contextualise and personalise the ads of its own advertising network. Please see Google Inc.’s privacy policy for full details. Google Inc. is based in the US and is a Privacy Shield participant. You can also opt-out of Google Analytics.

Google reCAPTCHA

Google reCAPTCHA is a SPAM protection service provided by Google Inc. which we use to reduce the opportunity for abuse of our website by filtering automated attempts at submitting our forms. It requires the use of cookies and the collection of usage data. Please see Google Inc.’s privacy policy for full details. Google Inc. is based in the US and is a Privacy Shield participant.

Unlimited Web Hosting
Our website is hosted by Unlimited Web Hosting and by browsing this site you are agreeing to the terms set out in their privacy policy in addition to the terms in this policy.

Tide.co

If you are a client, I will use Tide.co to invoice you. This includes sharing your name, company name, business address and email address to generate the invoice and send it to you. This information is governed by their privacy policy, which you can find here: https://www.tide.co/privacy

Controlling your information

You have certain rights concerning the information we hold about you, as defined under the General Data Protection Regulation. If you wish to exercise these rights please contact us and be sure to include your email address since this is the unique identifier we use to identify and collate personal information.

Requesting a copy of your information
You may request a copy of any data we hold about you. Upon request, we will provide a CSV file containing the personal data we hold on record about you.

Updating or correcting your information
If you change email address, or if any of the other information we hold is inaccurate or out of date, please contact us so we may correct our records.

Deleting your information
You have the right to request erasure of your personal information. Unless there is a compelling reason for the data not to be erased (for example, if we need to use that data to fulfil our contractual or legal obligations), your personal data will be deleted on request. To maintain flow of conversation, blog comments will not normally be deleted (unless there is a compelling reason to do so) but all personally identifying information will be removed.
